Pot Luck Lunch and “Homes for the Homeless- Taking Care of the Birds and the Bees”

The “kick off’ potluck for our 75th Anniversary celebration was a huge success! In fact, we are planning a new tradition by beginning every year in this manner. The potluck was very well attended, ranging in age from some of most senior life members, right down to members of our junior garden club who enjoyed arts and crafts as part of the day. The tables were adorned with red, white and pink carnations and “snow man soup” mugs created by our president Heather Grassie. Good food and good company made an enjoyable day. We were fortunate to have many members from other societies join us. Our guest speaker Cathy Dueck entertained and educated us with her talk on “Homes for the Homeless” homes and habitat for the birds and bees. What a great party to Kick off” our 75th Anniversary celebration!
