Speaker Information:
Joyce started gardening with a front-yard garden on a small city lot in Peterborough in 2001. She and her husband bought 10 acres south of Hastings in 2007 and started gardening in earnest. Combining their interest in history and gardening, she and her husband Mike became volunteer gardeners at Lang Pioneer Village. While familiarizing herself with pioneer gardens, Joyce immersed herself in the world of Catharine Parr Trail and was struck by Catharine's love of wildflowers and has since developed a wide knowledge of the native plants used.
