Join us for our first meeting of 2021!!!

A Saturday afternoon meeting and potluck lunch. No night time driving. Join us for some fellowship, laughter and lots of good food!

Please bring your cutlery, plates and mug along with a generous portion of your favourite dish. Tea, coffee & water are provided.

Social begins at 11:30am. Lunch will be served at 12:00pm.

After lunch, around 1:00pm, enjoy a fun presentation

After lunch, around 1:00pm, enjoy a presentation – Nice and Liz Case will speak on Growing Your Own Vegetables from Seed!!

Added fun – “Getting to know each other!!!”
What do you like to do (besides gardening…lol?)
Dress or bring something to show other members what one of your other passions are. This will be fun! For example, like birding? Hang a pair of binoculars around your neck!

“What’s the Buzz? Bee Amazed!” and Pot Luck Lunch

After lunch, around 1:00pm, enjoy a presentation – What’s the Buzz? Bee Amazed!!  Members Joe and Hazel Cook will share information (and a bit of humour, no doubt!) about their newest passion, bee keeping.

Orchids, African Violets and Air Plants and Potluck

We are starting off the year with a “Welcome Back” pot luck. Don’t miss out on the fun. Bring your cutlery, a plate and mug and your favourite dish to share.
Social begins at 11:30, and lunch will start at 12:00.

Our speaker, Margaret Burley from Burley’s Gardens, will begin around 1:00. She will be bringing a wide selection of Orchids/ African Violets/ air plants and Carnivorous Plants. This will be a show and tell presentation. The orchids are outstanding with many genera (varieties) to make for a meeting not to be missed. For those interested in African Violets, all are named varieties from mini to standard.

Many of the plants may be purchased at the end of meeting.
