Kawartha Turtle Trauma Centre is located at 1434 Chemong Road (Unit #4,) just on the outskirts of Peterborough.
Scheduled is a brief education on promoting turtle conservation and stewardship. Dr. Sue Carstairs, the on-site veterinarian (along with a dedicated team of staff and volunteers,) is dedicated to a comprehensive rehabilitation program. We can look forward to learning all about Ontario turtles, including tips to help turtles keep safe, and what to do if you find an injured turtle. In general, we’ll come away much more knowledgeable about turtles!
We will also tour the on-site Woodland Park (about an acre) which is planted with the environment in mind. Visit www.kawarthaturtle.org for more information.
This will be a very enjoyable evening!
