On March 4, 2023, the Peterborough and Area Master Gardeners are thrilled to again be able to offer their annual “A Day for Gardeners”.
This is a fundraising event where Peterborough and Area Master Gardeners present various gardening topics of interest to the public.
Our 2023 line-up of presentations include:
- What Plants Eat: How Plants Get Their Nutrients
- Supporting Pollinators
- Drought Resistant Plants
- Propagating Butterflies, Butterfly Nectar and Larval Plants
- Native Plant Garden Design
- The Dirt on Soap: Home remedies, Herbicides and Pesticides
Attendees will be able to choose 3 out of the 6 presentation topics offered. All presentations are prepared and presented by a Master Gardener.
The cost is early bird $50 per person or $55 per person after February 14/2023. The cost includes lunch, snacks, beverages and door prizes. Parking is free.
The event is from 9:30am-3pm, March 4/2023. It will be held at Activity Haven, 180 Barnardo Avenue, Peterborough Ontario.

What is a Master Gardener?
A Master Gardener is a trained volunteer who has successfully completed the required education and volunteer hours. Master Gardeners volunteer by sharing their gardening knowledge. We are a non-profit organization and are part of Master Gardeners of Ontario.
